Flow Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

Flow assurance engineering for subsea field development projects. Responsible for production system performance analysis, thermal management design, hydrate mitigation strategy, and multiphase flow modelling from reservoir through subsea production system to receiving facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OLGA multiphase flow simulation models for subsea networks
• Perform steady-state and transient flow assurance analysis (startup, shutdown, turndown)
• Design thermal management systems including PIP, electrical heating and insulation
• Develop hydrate mitigation strategies including dosing, depressurization and LDHI
• Analyze slugging behaviour and design slug catchers or active slug control systems
• Perform wax and asphaltene deposition assessments and develop remediation plans
• Coordinate with process, pipeline and subsea controls engineers for system integration
• Prepare flow assurance design basis, reports and operating guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Petroleum or Flow Assurance Engineering
• 7+ years of flow assurance experience in subsea field development
• Expert in OLGA and PIPESIM or Prosper for multiphase flow simulation
• Knowledge of hydrate, wax and asphaltene thermodynamic modelling (PVTSim, Multiflash)
• Experience with subsea production system design and chemical injection systems
• Understanding of thermal management and insulation design for subsea systems
• Strong thermodynamics and multiphase flow fundamentals
• BOSIET certification required
